The course will describe how to design a part in 3D and do the corresponding drawing. Finally, the course will deal with the design of assemblies, several parts which fit together in order to have a specific purpose.
Descripción de curso
The goal of this course is to train students in the use of a CAD program Solid-Edge ST9. This program has a free educational version. It will focus in three important contents: To build a part in 3D, next to do the corresponding drawing (the necessary views and dimensions needed to manufacture the part) and finally, the way to design an assembly, that's it, how to fit individual parts with each other in order to have a specific purpose. The course starts from scratch, the first steps will be the installation of the program, description of the interface and the way to build the first simple parts. There are three "practical modules". In theese modules the student will have some examples done step by step with the corresponding description given by the professors.
